Does Nebraska Really Grow Most

Does Nebraska really grow most of the corn for the country?
by chesswizard

I once drove the 400 miles across Nebraska and I only saw corn. No trees, just corn growing everywhere and I wondered if they are the world leader for corn production.

Ohio, Illinois Indiana, and Iowa grow the vast majority for the US.

Yea, uh, we have more than corn. If you drive down I-80 all you see is the fertile Platte Valley that produces much of the state's corn, soybean and milo crops. While Nebraska is a national leader in corn (Iowa outranks the state), it is the number one producer of beef cattle.
