2nd Saturdays: Child's Play - Games and Toys of the Civil War

Come out for the last of the season's "Second Saturdays" programs, and enjoy learning about toys and games played during the 19th Century. Costumed interpreters will teach visitors how to play period games and demonstrate how to make corn-husk dolls. Also join in a game of townball, an early form of American baseball. Admission is free, and open to the public.

HANDS-ON. Expand your tamale repertoire as you learn to make the masa, clean the husks and create these unique fillings:
· Spicy Pork Tamales;
· Chicken Mole Tamales;
· Black Bean & Corn Tamales;
· and Dessert Tamales.
CLASS TIME: 6:30 - 9PM
Please dress with safety and comfort in mind: Wear completely closed shoes with non-skid bottoms, shirts with fitted sleeves and remove any jewelry. Long hair should be pulled back.
